The Conservatory of Cosenza take part in the event, scheduled for March 1, organized by the city of Cosenza as start of celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy. The protagonist is Professor Ugo De Siervo, President of the Constitutional Court. Onstage Theatre "making it" rise of the Conservatory Orchestra and Chorus "Giacomantonio Stanislaus, 130 elements between teachers, students and alumni in the advanced courses. The choir has been prepared by Maestro Luciano Luciani, will head the Maestro Donato Sivo.
The musical program was written in the light of the important occasion of celebration. It focuses on the work of the Italian repertoire: the pages of Giuseppe Verdi and Rossini who helped create the national musical consciousness represent the Italian people and the emblem of a sound period. This Symphony, together with that of Nabucco and the most famous chorus "Va pensiero" (also from Nabucco) and "O Lord, from my home" (from I Lombardi in the first crusade) are associated with the Risorgimento. Giuseppe Verdi - The excursion through the work opens with Verdi's I Lombardi the First Crusade. Represented at La Scala in Milan in 1843, in the wake of the plot related to the shipping time to the conquest of Jerusalem, was able to elicit thrills di amor patrio. In scena nel 1842, sempre a Milano, Nabucco fu il trampolino di lancio per la carriera di Verdi. Composta su libretto di Temistocle Solera, l’opera segue le difficili condizioni degli Ebrei quando furono aggrediti ed esiliati dalla loro terra. Il celebre coro “Và pensiero” , canto pervaso di dolore e di umanità degli schiavi ebrei, acquistò subito un significato altamente patriottico per gli italiani e divenne l’inno risorgimentale della nascita della nazione.
L’idea di un’opera che avesse per tema la congiura dei Vespri siciliani risale al 1848, quando Verdi era alla ricerca di un argomento intonato al momento pieno di rivolgimenti politici. Eugéne Scribe si incaricò della stesura del libretto. L’opera debuttò nel giugno del 1855 al Théâtre de l'Académie Impériale de Musique, pochi mesi dopo al Teatro Regio di Parma col titolo Giovanna de Guzman e con l’azione spostata al Seicento: i siciliani travestiti da portoghesi e gli oppressori diventati spagnoli per evitare la censura.
Gioachino Rossini - Le pagine di Guillaume Tell , fin dalla celebre Ouverture, sono vivificate da una dramatic tension until then unknown to the music of Rossini. The work prepared for the first time at the Paris Opera in 1829, is one of Rossini's most original work. L ' Italian Girl in Algiers is a playful drama with a libretto by Angelo Anelli. Set up in 1813, sets the standard of comic opera by Rossini, poised between farce and sentiment, not without the presence of styles typical of opera seria, in an extraordinary balance of form. L 'Ouverture is one of the most imaginative new solutions to formal and melodic invention.

Nato a Bari nel 1963, ha conseguito il Diploma di Direzione d’Orchestra con Giovanni Pelliccia presso il Conservatorio Duni di Matera con il massimo dei voti, il diploma di Musica Corale e Direzione di Coro con G. Panariello presso il Conservatorio di Avellino, il Diploma in Pianoforte con H. Pell presso il Conservatorio di Bari, il diploma di compimento medio di composizione con G. Gigante ed il Diploma di Direzione d’Orchestra con D. Renzetti, presso l’Accademia Musicale Pescarese e, al “Wiener Meisterkurse fur Musik” con J.Kalmar a Vienna,
Ha seguito corsi di perfezionamento in Direzione d’Orchestra tenuti dai Maestri: G. Kuhn, N. H. Samale, Duarte e ha diretto diverse orchestre (Orchestra of the Province of Bari and Lecce, Orchestra Sinfonica di Lugano, Orchestra Sinfonica "Mario Gusella di Pescara, etc..), Receiving enthusiastic consensus is in the public and critics.
In 1996 he was awarded a scholarship to the undergraduate program of professional qualification for Choir Directors of the Tuscany Region and the European Union under the guidance of internationally renowned faculty including: Rene Clemencic, Gary Graden, Roberto Gabbiani, etc..

in the opera season of 2000 and 2002, the Petruzzelli theater in Bari, was named choir director in the following operas: La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, Madama Butterfly by Puccini in the years 04/05 season Lyric Theatre Politeama greek of Lecce in the works: The Turkish in Italy, directed by Pizzi, Andrea Chenier, La Cenerentola. In December 2004 the choir "City of Taranto" in the opera season in Taranto (art direction Martinucci), Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci in the works.
the opera season of 2006-07, the Foundation's lyrical-symphonic "Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari and Theatres" è stato nominato altro Maestro del Coro nelle seguenti opere: Vedova Allegra, Cappello di Paglia di Firenze, Tosca, Attila e IX Sinfonia di Beethoven .
È titolare della cattedra di Esercitazioni Orchestrali presso il Conservatorio “S. Giacomantonio” di Cosenza e nel 2007 è stato nominato Direttore Artistico del Festival dell’Aurora, giunto alla sua undicesima edizione.
