Si farà il referendum per il passaggio di denominazione da Sciacca a Sciacca Terme. Ma la settimana è stata bollente a cause delle polemiche tra l’assessore Sabella, Simone Di Paola and Franco Zammuto about labor issues. Dai banchi dell’opposizione è quasi sempre il consigliere comunale autonomo ed indipendente Pippo Turco ad alzare i toni della discussione mentre il neo assessore Fabio Leonte sembra essere diventato il vero punto di riferimento della squadra assessoriale voluta da Vito Bono.
Durerà? Può darsi anche se è lecito attendersi nuove richieste e movimenti. Le sedie dell’aula consiliare Falcone – Borsellino continuano ad essere parecchio mobili: chi si sposta in maggioranza, chi se ne va all’opposizione, chi è indipendente e un po’ sta con gli uni e un po’ con gli altri. Insomma come si suol dire la questione è in itinere.
La settimana scorsa lo scontro politico si è fatto particolarmente aspro a causa del duello mediatico tra l’assessore al personale Alberto Sabella (Fli) e il capogruppo del Partito Democratico Simone Di Paola. Tra i due litiganti si è inserito anche il segretario cittadino della CGIL Franco Zammuto, anche lui adirato con Sabella. Motivo del contendere le dinamiche del lavoro a Sciacca. Mentre il gruppo Fli si fa più solido con Carlino, Assenzo e Fruscia, si avvia alla scomparsa il gruppo consiliare dei Leali per Sciacca, un progetto evidentemente al quale nemmeno gli stessi promotori hanno creduto fino in fondo se è vero, com’è vero, che Michele Patti ha, ufficiosamente, aderito a Forza del Sud e che Paolo Gulotta dovrebbe andare al Pd. Resta in bilico Sandullo, in attesa della sentenza del processo Scacco Matto. Anche lui potrebbe aderire a Forza del Sud anche se, la sua storia consiliare di questi mesi, lo aveva descritto abbastanza sodale all’attuale maggioranza. Sembrerebbe strano adesso un suo salto verso i banchi dell’opposizione. Ma del resto in politica così come nella vita tutto is possible.

Ventiquattro i consiglieri presenti, ventitre i favorevoli, uno astenuto, il consigliere Michele Patti. Quest’ultimo, nel corso di un articolato dibattito, ha posto l’accento ai costi a cui si va incontro con il referendum, che ci sono anche in caso di accorpamento con i referendum nazionali.
